This training sucks...

I figured instead of complaining in the running groups that I'm in over on Facebook, I'd start blogging cause I have feelings that need to get out apparently.
So I'm training for my very first 50k race. I've done two marathons, 4 half-marathons and a few other distances. But this specific training for 50 freaking kilometers has totally messed me up mentally. I have zero motivation. Usually I can depend on disipline but it's not working.
I have 17 weeks until race day, so I know my training can get better from here on out but so far, it's not starting off well.
I'm not sure if it's the times in my cycle, what I'm eating, or what but I'm working on making some changes. ,
Adding more protein - That means more fish because a girl can only eat so much chicken.
Prioritizing sleep - This is my biggest issue. I'm not a good sleeper but I have magnesium tablets and mild sleeping pills, so fingers crossed these work really well over the next several weeks.
And the big one. Cutting back on alcohol. Especially if I have a run the next day.
I know I can do these things and once I cross that finish line, I'll breathe a sigh of relief and probably want to sign up for another race. But until then, I'm going to take it one day at a time.
